Key Principles in Auditory Processing: From Diagnosis to Rehabilitation
Jennifer Shinn, Ph.D.
Dr. Shinn is Associate Professor and Chief of Audiology, in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Dr. Shinn is board certified in Audiology through both the American Speech-Language Hearing Association as well as the American Academy of Audiology. She has a broad experience in a variety of areas of audiology including advanced diagnostics and neuroaudiology, with particular emphasis on diagnosis of auditory processing disorders and subsequent (re)habilitation. She has published both peer reviewed articles as well as book chapters in the above named areas. Her presentation record in these areas includes state, national, and international levels.

Brian Taylor, Au.D.
Dr. Taylor is currently the Director of Practice Development & Clinical Affairs for Unitron and the Editor of Audiology Practices, the quarterly publication of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology.
Brian also serves on the advisory board for the Better Hearing Institute and is a frequent contributor to Audiology Online. During the first decade of his career, he practiced clinical audiology in both medical and retail settings. Since 2004, Dr. Taylor has held a variety of management positions within the industry in both the United States and Europe. He has published over 30 articles and book chapters on topics related to hearing aids, diagnostic audiology, and business management. Brian has authored two text books Fitting and Dispensing Hearing Aids and Consultative Selling Skills for Audiologists, both published by Plural, Inc. He holds a Master's degree in audiology from the University of Massachusetts and a doctorate in audiology from Central Michigan University. Dr. Taylor resides in the Minneapolis area.
