Your Responsibilites:
Comprehensive diagnostic audiological examinations
Cerumen management (where allowed by state professional regulations)

Contact with external sources (families, responsible parties, facilities)
Mandatory attendance to three audiology group meetings per year

Audiologist - Waterbury, CT

The Hearing, Balance and Speech Center has the following position open in its Waterbury Office (an ENT Physician s office, an excellent patient referral source). This position is the perfect opportunity for an experienced hearing aid specialist to work in a privately owned, full-service audiological facility.

The Candidate must hold up to date certification and CT licensing requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform complete hearing evaluations
Hearing aid dispensing and servicing
Working closely with area ENTs Attending marketing events
Ability to work independently and have strong skills in many different kinds of hearing aids is a must.

Position would require one day a week (8 hrs, with potential to gain). Salary commensurates with experience.

This is a dispensing practice with the focus on providing high quality instruments and services to our patients. If you have great communication skills, are extremely patient focused and self-driven this could be the position/practice for you!

Daily tasks and responsibilities Establish rapport with and gather history from patients, conduct audiometric testing, and make recommendations for hearing aids. Make ear impressions and ear molds, order instruments. Program hearing aids using a computer. Fit hearing aids and assist with any adjustments, questions or problems. Counsel patients. Maintain documentation and patient files.

Qualifications Masters Degree in Audiology or Au.D. 3-4 years hearing aid dispensing experience Active and current hearing aid dispensing license. The successful Audiologist will also possess the following: Strong interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills The ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients The ability to work in a team environment The ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, physicians and team members.
