Full Time Audiologist - Hartford Area

Hear Again Center has an exciting opportunity available for a Full-Time Dispensing Audiologist to join our team in the Hartford area!

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will work in a dynamic private practice setting. We are looking for highly skilled hearing healthcare practitioners who are passionate about finding innovative hearing healthcare solutions for our patients. Our hearing healthcare providers guide patients through the process of diagnostic testing, selection, fitting, and sale of hearing instruments according to our patients lifestyle and level of hearing loss. Our providers are responsible for working with regional management to oversee and ensure financial success for the office(s) they support. Qualifications: For Audiologists

  • Must have Master s or Doctorate in Audiology degree as required by state of employment
  • Valid Hearing Instrument Dispensing Licensure (in good standing) in state of employment is required
  • Valid Audiology Licensure (in good standing) in state of employment, where required
  • Professional Certifications preferred (CCC-A, FAAA)
  • 3 plus years of experience with diagnostic testing and dispensing hearing aids is preferred
  • Strong problem solving, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required
  • Public speaking experience and training preferred

Clinical Instructor, Audiologist - University of Connecticut

The Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at the University of Connecticut seeks an Audiologist/Clinical Supervisor to provide services and to supervise the practicum experience of graduate students in a busy university clinic. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct service to and supervision of service to adults and children referred for audiologic assessment, treatment – including assistive listening devices- and counseling related to hearing impairment. 

The candidate must be able to demonstrate current techniques reflecting contemporary knowledge about hearing disorders, their diagnosis and treatment, including the use of objective measures such as otoacoustic emissions, VNG, ABR, and real ear measures.  The candidate must be knowledgeable of a wide variety of assistive listening devices and up-to-date hearing aid technology.  The candidate must be able to demonstrate methods and approaches suitable for supervising graduate students in all phases of their clinical practicum experiences.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Doctor of Audiology
  2. At least two years of clinical experience
  3. ASHA CCC in Audiology
  4. Hold or be eligible for Connecticut license as an Audiologist.
  5. Experience with hearing aid dispensing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. The ability to demonstrate current techniques reflecting contemporary knowledge about hearing disorders, their diagnosis and treatment, including the use of objective measurement such as otoacoustic emissions, VNG, ABR and real ear measures
  2. Be knowledgeable of a wide variety of assistive listening devices and up to date hearing aid technology and able to demonstrate methods suitable for supervising graduate students in all phases of their clinical practicum experiences. 
  3. Familiarity with electrophysiological techniques preferred. 
  4. Prior supervisory preparation/experience preferred. 
  5. Three letters of recommendation required.

Audiologist, Central Connecticut

Fifteen plus years, full service, private practice seeking part time/full time licensed audiologist. Primary responsibilities related to assistive technology dispensing, mainly adults.

Interest in the business of audiology, especially marketing, desired. Opportunity for growth on multiple levels. Proven track record in successful dispensing preferred but exceptional new AuD graduates will be considered.
