Opportunities within the CT Academy

WE Need You!

Support your Academy and lend some of your time and talents.

Website: If you like to write, we can use your talents to help put content on the website. No web design skills are necessary! How about writing an article for our patient education page? Find some useful links for our links page. Any help with filling our site with useful information would be a great help. Contact our webmistress Annette Burton, she would love to hear from you.

Academy Public Relations/Advertising: We need someone who will develop and distribute press releases for CT Academy. Contact Cathee Alex

Nominations Committee: Assist in recruiting new CTAA board officers as terms expire.  Including:  selection of candidates, certification of candidates, mailing bios/ballots to voting members, tallying votes and announcing new board officer(s). Contact Carol Kisner

Scholarship Committee:  Assist in planning fundraising events to eventually endow CTAA Au.D. Student Scholarship(s), develop application and criteria to select candidate(s) and award recipients.  Contact Nancy McMahon

Membership Committee:  Assist in developing and implementing imaginative ideas to recruit and hold new members. Our goal is 100% membership of all 240 Connecticut licensed audiologists creating an awesome local network of state audiologists whose professional voice will be heard on Hartford’s Capital Hill and by health care policy makers! Members provide not only grassroots advocacy and education for audiologists but also support the patients and communities we serve. Contact Nancy McMahon

Programs Committee:  Assist in planning and development of annual “Connected in Connecticut” Conference (held in early June) and/or annual CT Academy of Audiology Social (held in early March). Contact Judi Shea
