Brian Urban

Brian Urban, Au.D.
Dr. Urban is the President of CounselEAR and former owner of Advanced Hearing and Balance Center in Evanston, Illinois.

He currently serves as the Immediate Past President for the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and has presented at numerous state and national conventions on the topics of patient counseling, documentation, physician marketing, and HIPAA compliance. In addition, he participated in the 2010 Jerger Future Leaders of Audiology Conference (JFLAC) and is an Adjunct Faculty member at Rush University.


James Henry

Evidence-Based Clinical Management of Tinnitus

James Henry, Ph.D.
Dr. Henry is an audiologist with a doctorate in Behavioral Neuroscience. He is employed at the VA National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research (NCRAR) and is Research Professor, Otolaryngology, Oregon Health & Science University. He has conducted tinnitus clinical research for over 20 years.

Caroline Schmidt

Caroline Schmidt, Ph.D.
Dr. Schmidt is a Clinical Psychologist at the VA in West Haven, Connecticut and Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University. She received her doctorate at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC in 2004 and has worked at VA since 2005. Her interests include behavioral interventions for tinnitus and psychiatric comorbidities.
