Welcome to www.ctaud.org, a site where audiologists and visitors interested in hearing and balance can stay Connected in Connecticut!
Our mission to advocate for audiologists and the patients we serve is an important one. You can find audiologists locally in private practice, physician offices, hospitals, industry, rehab centers, schools, skilled nursing facilities, and universities.
Ongoing technological advances and research improve the everyday lives of the patients we serve. Our Academy is devoted to the continuing education of its members and the subsequent enhanced care of our patients.
On December 13th, 2005 the Connecticut Academy of Audiology was born. An incorporated and insured non-profit organization, we have matured quickly with the inspiration of our fifty-one founders and encouragement from both our national and state academy leaders from across the nation.
We continue to grow our membership and strive to connect all our talented and compassionate audiologists throughout the state. We network audiologists through our conferences ‘Connected in Connecticut’ each June along with periodic member newsletters as well as social media outreach to both members and the patients we serve.
We now have a professional voice that has been heard on Capitol Hill in Hartford and by state and federal health insurance policy makers. We continue to work collaboratively with other state organizations to provide education for both members and non-members, as well as unify our voices on key issues that affect our daily practices.
When you are concerned about your hearing and balance, ask an audiologist!
